Chloe Kim is not your average 24 year old. The pro snowboarder has been conquering the slopes since age 4 and was propelled into global stardom at 17 after becoming the youngest woman to win an Olympic gold medal for the women's halfpipe. Then, four years later, she did it again. "I love making history," Kim tells PS in a recent interview to discuss her latest collab with Roxy.
It's that kind of attitude that led Kim to land a 1260 on the halfpipe earlier this year. The snowboarding trick involves completing three and a half (!) full rotations in the air while performing a grab — and Kim's the first woman to have nailed the move in competition. "For me, doing something that's never been done before — there's nothing quite like it. I think that feeling is better than any medal I've ever won," she says, adding that she's on a mission to show people "what crazy tricks women are capable of."
Fortunately, when it comes to breaking records, Kim says she's in good company, nodding to the host of women athletes who came before her (including Alex Morgan, who was a particular motivator for Kim in her teens). Now, she's glad to see the attention and appreciation placed on women athletes in recent years. "It's about damn time," she says. "Now women's sports is blowing up, as you were saying, but it's been a long time coming. There have been so many incredible women that have contributed to this change, used our voices; I think we all worked together for this goal."
For Kim, that goal doesn't mean just tackling the exclusionary nature of sport, but fashion, too. It's why she was so excited to work with Roxy on her most recent collection. "They were a brand for women, by women, and that meant a lot to me, especially when it comes to outerwear." From its inception, Kim was heavily involved in the design process — from sourcing the Japanese watercolor prints that would inspire the florals on the jacket to her push for deeper pants pockets. "[Women] have so much stuff," Kim says, adding that with most outerwear, "I can't even fit my iPhone." When it came time to design her own pants, she had one request: "I need deep pockets — and a lot of them."
This isn't her first foray into athletic fashion either. In 2021, she co-founded one of the most popular media and commerce companies Togethxr, alongside Alex Morgan, Simone Manuel, and Sue Bird. You're probably familiar with the brand's "Everyone Watches Women's Sports" tee that made the rounds this WNBA season. Togethxr has sold $3 million worth of shirts, hoodies and tote bags with the slogan as of summer 2024, per New York Times reporting.
When Kim isn't making history with her company or out on the slopes, you can find her pouring into herself with therapy — both talk and retail. Ahead, she shares her must-have products for fitness, travel, beauty, and more.

Chloe Kim's Affordable Must Have
Kim's most recent obsession is the Rom&nd Glasting Melting Balm ($7, originally $18). "I love K-beauty products, because they're all so affordable," she says. This lipstick in particular is on sale, but even at the regular retail price, it falls under $20. Kim's manager recently put her on to it and now Kim can't put it down. "It's so good — I'm wearing it right now," she says during the interview.
Pro tip: Kim's lipstick shade of choice is 05 Nougat Sand, a mauve-y hue, but it's available in 7 colors total.

Chloe Kim's Fitness Must-Have
The Nike Pegasus 41 ($120, originally $140) is Kim's go-to running shoe. She's new to the sport: "I'm running three miles, and I feel like I'm gonna die every time," Kim says. Eventually, she hopes to run a marathon. "When I'm retired from competitive snowboarding, that's definitely on my must do bucket list," Kim says.
Pro tip: If you're prone to shin splints, Kim says these sneaks offers up a lightweight, bouncy fit that helps to mitigate the symptoms.

Chloe Kim's Morning Routine Must-Have
The Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream ($72) is a beloved morning product by PS editors and athletes alike. Kim is big on skin care, especially given that her sport competes in the winter, leaving her susceptible to dry, dehydrated skin. To avoid this, she starts her mornings out with this cult-favorite classic from Tatcha which contains hydrating amino acids, hyaluronic acid, and algae.
Pro tip: Tatcha has upgraded its packaging so the tub is refillable, making the cream a plus for sustainability and your skin.

Chloe Kim's Nighttime Must-Have
Latisse Eyelash Growth Serum ($46/month) has been Kim's best-kept secret as of late. "I'm going on a journey right now," she says, noting that she recently got rid of her extensions and has been using Latisse to enhance her lashes, applying the serum nightly.
Pro tip: Latisse is a prescription-only serum and should be taken under the advisement of a medical professional.

Chloe Kim's Sleep Must-Have
You can't underestimate the value of linen sheets when it comes to a good night's sleep, Kim says. "I have the best linen — it feels so good." Her bedding of choice: Parachaute Linen Sheet Set ($244 and up). Crafted in Portugal, Parachute's durable, breathable linen is said by reviewers to get softer and better with age.
Pro tip: This sheet set includes a top sheet, fitted sheet, and two pillowcases. Plus, it comes in 8 different colors.

Chloe Kim's Luxury Must-Have
While steep in price, Kim says the Biologique Recherche Creme Grand Millesime Regenerating and Hydrating Cream ($216) is well worth the cost. "That cream has saved my life," Kim says, especially on those days when her skin is craving restorative hydration from being exposed to cold, try temperatures for hours. It's a luxury must have that she doesn't travel without, often applying the cream at night after an intense day of training.
Pro tip: A little goes a long way. Biologique suggests applying just a small amount of product in the morning and/or at night to the entire face, neck, and décolleté. Avoid the area around the eyes.
